Questions About Seitan And Digestibility

Hey everyone, so I've been trying seitan lately and its probably the most amazing thing I've had to date. I am curious, however, if anyone knows the effects of consuming what is essentially pure gluten and how it effects the gut and gut lining. I don't have any gluten sensitivities, but I do feel some slight digestive discomfort in the morning, and the only real thing I've changed with regard to the diet is more yogurt and seitan. Is this simply an adjustment process (I would imagine so, because my protein intake went up by about 30g/day since including the gluten), or should I be more concerned. By the way, I am a vegetarian who loves fermenting foods, natto and fermented buckwheat oats all the way. If you'd like more information on my dietary and health background, please feel free to ask!
