I’ve seen that alcohol and DMSO are frequently used as topical delivery mechanisms for hair “growth” agents but my experience with alcohol is that it’s very drying and hard on my hair (similar effects to drinking and hangovers). I’ve used DMSO with body tissue and joints issues but the stuff is just nasty with the garlic taste in the mouth nevermind my lips buzzing like Mick Jagger blowing a kazoo.
I’ve read some of the research papers on urea as an old but reliable and effective standby but that’s a lot of goop for thin hair that I wash far less than I used to (with good results).
