Well, per what Joel Therien says a couple of different ways. First, the gel or goo it creates slows down the digestion of whatever is eaten afterwards and second it can help prevent the "starvation" mode fat storage.How do you suppose the psyllium works to reduce the waistline?
I should say that I'm not like many people on here. I don't have a wealth of nutritional knowledge. I have no idea if what Joel says is true, but that's what he says and he is in really good shape (claims he never used steroids, just years of bodybuilding) and his son just won a bodybuilding contest as well.
Of course, it's not just the fiber. He also eats well, takes in protein etc, but the fiber is apparently a key supplement.
