if you compare these 2 studies:

you may notice progesterone ranges:
male: 1000...4500 nanogram/milliliter (figure 5.2)
female: 100...600 picogram/milliliter (figure 1)

question:

1) how come male has 4 orders of magnitude more progesterone then female?

2) can you link for more meaningful/trustworthy studies?
ideally measuring male and female levels in the same study?

Good catch. Somebodies data is hosed. Need to look elsewhere for reasonable representative values to make a call on which.
