This is a first in my research of experience of endocrine hormones. High SHBG may limit the expression of testosterone and dht. Drugs like Danazol and Winstrol can dramatically lower it, but the body usually responds by lowering T production - so a goal of increasing T by this mono therapy is very difficult. Shbg can rise for many reasons including inflammation and higher levels of estrogen.
But what if a novel treatment with Progesterone may treat symptoms AND cause? We already know P can increase T in males, lower and block E and treat inflammation. Now it appears to suppress SHBG expression:
