Does anyone know if there is any downside to taking Progesterone & DHEA during chemo treatment for b cell lymphoma?
Patient has what the doctors are calling a very mild case of b cell lymphoma. His PET scan shows that it has not spread anywhere else and that he only needs three "small" doses of chemo over six weeks.
When I found out that he had cancer I started him on a very small dose of progesterone (5mg). What I want to do is increase his amount to a more therapeutic dose but I'm looking for studies that show no contraindications.
The studies I have found with regards to progesterone and blood cancer are very positive and @haidut recent study using Cortinon in a progesterone ratio of 8:1 for Murine Leukemia seems very promising.
Does anyone have any experience of taking progesterone during chemo therapy?
Or any other studies they could point me too?
Thanks.
