Prescribed Progestin-only BC Pill - Safe?

I was prescribed Micronor by my doctor and while it doesn't contain any estrogen I'm wondering if it's safe to take a synthetic progesterone, especially all throughout my cycle. I'm also afraid of the possibility of gaining weight or mood swings.

If anyone has any thoughts on this or experience with finding Peat-y forms of BC I would appreciate it.

Dr Peat thinks synthetic progestins are not safe and have estrogenic/antiprogesterone functions.

RU486, cancer, estrogen, and progesterone.
