Interesting:

Cats on cod-liver oil with "unexplainable high mortality rate", despite getting the best nutrients; and appearing healthy.

Raw meat = less mortality than cooked (how was the meat cooked though?Pufas?)

Effect of diet on future generations more drastic than genes.

It‘s not the PUFAs it seems.

The secondary experiments are interesting:

One group: 1/3 raw meat + 2/3 raw milk = healthy

Other group: 1/3 raw meat + 2/3 pasteurized milk = deterioration

Other group: 1/3 raw meat + 2/3 sweet condensed milk = even more deterioration

I asked this question about Pottenger’s Cats before but didn‘t get an answer. What do you think explains the big difference between the milk groups? Does pasteurized milk really have so little nutrients? Were the pasteurization processes maybe different back then (longer cooking?). Or is it something about the rawness of the protein -like with meat- that is prerequisite for certain metabolic processes of obligate carnivores?

I would like to know that too, since I drink a lot of milk.
The best source I can find is local, eco, non-homogenized - but of course pasteurized.
I am trying to switch to steam cooking fish/meat instead of frying, too
