Anyone know more about this?

Mechanism-based inhibition of recombinant human cytochrome P450 3A4 by tomato juice extract. - PubMed - NCBI

"Although the active compound was uncertain, a strong CYP3A4 inhibitory activity was observed in other solanaceous plants, i.e., potato, eggplant, sweet pepper, and capsicum"

About CYP3A4:

Human Reproductive Biology
Richard E. Jones, ‎Kristin H. Lopez - 2006

"A variant of the gene CYP3A4 influences the production of a liver enzyme that breaks down testosterone."

Hmm... Will need to read the entire study to see exactly what they say.

Wonder if it could be solanine itself. From what I understand only darkened areas on potatoes indicate there is solanine present, but this study seems to have been done on tomatoes. Not sure how they can then assume that all solanaceous plants do this.

Interesting. I've read potatoes were recommended as top carb source for testosterone on T related forums (like anabolicmen).
Rice was mentioned to lower testosterone.

White rice doesn’t. The more fibrous varieties contain a 5 alpha reductase inhibitor, IIRC.
