Potassium?

Potassium chloride is undoubtedly the easiest to use. You can mix some up yourself or get some of those fancy sea salts that have a mix of sodium and potassium chloride.

As for what's most effective, I'm not sure. But personally I'm most likely to use potassium chloride on a regular basis. Not sure of exactly how different forms of potassium are active biologically.

I use potassium citrate 900 mg (+/ 30% K element). Citrates are suitable for the prevention of lithiasis (kidney stone) when I eat sweet potatoes, rhubarb or spinach, a chocolate cake (rich in oxalic acid), or just to optimize my balance between Na and K.
