Possible Ways To Lower Serotonin In Young Children

I have a family member who thinks she can’t survive without SSRI’s and has taken them under “medical approval” during pregnancy and postpartum / breast feeding. Her children have not been diagnosed with autism but have some behavioral issues and I wonder if there are ways to lower serotonin in toddlers to see if behavior improves?
If she could see improvement with something that lowers serotonin, I might have success convincing her that she needs to get off her SSRI’s herself

You can't save her. She trusts her doctor more than you. As for her kids, who knows what is the case, they are toddlers it's too early to tell. Get them their daily triple digit dose of %%% fortified iron cereals, combined with vaccination schedule, and malnourishing diet plant based protein deficient diet, combined with adhd and behavioural medication in childhood and teens. Seems like a lost cause, if they aren't your kids.
Unsolicited advice is never utilized.
If you tell her about the side effects of ssris, it's going to be worse than Neo waking from the matrix. You can see the truth, for a brief moment, and then you lock it all away, to never accept it, taking the blue pill.
That's what trusting authority does.

Sunlight during the day is fantastic at raising dopamine and non invasive.

She could also look into Ottlite bulbs to mimic sunlight indoors

With that said, the guy above me pretty much nailed it on trying to help someone who doesn't want it

An multivitamin.
B complex, zinc, vitamin E... They are the types of things that are cheap and easy to convince almost anyone to take, even if they think of it as some placebo.

I feel like vits and minerals sometimes are underestimated, for example:
Zinc Acts Similar To Tianeptine And Blocks SSRI Drug Effects
(Not sure if you already have seen this one, but always good to remember anyways)

Zinc increased 5-HT uptake in a concentration-dependent manner when the CC slices were incubated in a solution buffered with sodium bicarbonate; however, zinc exerted no effect on 5-HT transport when HEPES was the buffer. Potentiation of 5-HT uptake by zinc was maximal with 1 microM (45% over the control uptake). Moreover, 1 microM zinc potentiated 5-HT uptake in the cingulate cortex by 58% and in the Raphe nucleus by 65%. The antidepressants fluoxetine and imipramine inhibited 5-HT uptake in the CC by approximately 50%, whereas 6-nitroquipazine, a potent 5-HT uptake blocker, inhibited uptake by only 23%. Interestingly, inhibition of 5-HT uptake by all three substances, fluoxetine, imipramine, and 6-nitroquipazine, was counteracted by the presence of 1 microM zinc. Free zinc may thus contribute to modulation of extracellular levels of 5-HT and its removal. These actions should be considered in the treatment of mental depression with antidepressants.

for your family member, tell them to read the book "letting go" by david r hawkins. For the toddler, avoiding undercooked starch, and adequate access to dairy will help.

Thank you for your response - I wasn’t aware of that post on zinc. That might be something she would try

What dosage and form of zinc would you advocate? Appreciate your insight.
