Ever since I heard a ted talk on this matter, I've been fascinated by it. I would love to know if staring at pictures, or fantasizing using your imagination would produce similar results. I would imagine something would be different as the brain knows pictures & ones imagination are not real, whereas it has a tough time differentiating video from real life.

I would think excercising the imagination can only be a good thing, probably raises motivation!

I found this interestng so I looked into it. It seems that cocaine grows those brain regions:

So it's ok to watch porn as long as you sniff a line afterwards.

Yeah It probably grows them because of those 15 minutes waiting for your dealer, not the drug itself  (I'm serious)

Or maybe porn addicts are more sensitive to rewarding stimuli and have lower inhibitory control? Consider that?

Anecdote: when I work extra hours (night emergencies along with regular hours), I tend to watch porn and masturbate, I think stress is highly related to it.
Also, acne seems to be higher the week I work those extra hours

I think porn use might be strongly, strongly related to nitric oxide. Methylene blue helps a lot.
