How important is it to avoid polyamines? Oranges seems to have huge amounts of the things......

Very interesting! I wonder if getting them nice and ripe affects the problem? I have found two studies.

This one (if you can get a hold of it) will tell you how the content behaves throughout ripening AND give you a cultivar name which has very little of them.

This one tells you naringenin will combat polyamines (RP ideas gaining a life of their own, again)

It is about cancer cells, but this just reinforces Ray Peat's view on polyamines. Who knows if we were to deplete them completely in a tumor what might happen?
