What a jerk...this site is not a political site and how can you blame big pharma on Trump? There was a guy named Obama who sold this country out and useless George W. Trump has done more honest work for this country and ignoramus' like you don't get it. No reply necessary.

Please consider getting your brain tested. US is a cancer? I guess that is why the world wants to mover here and Obama was all good news? Remember the $150 billion (no typo) Nobama sent to IRAN? Are you freakin crazy? I suggest you look at the prosperity of this country and your ability to live better unless you favor socialism. Brain washing apparently works.

Our standard of living is high because we rape the third world. Our prosperity is built on the backs of the rest of the world. It’s called “colonialism” and most recently “humanitarian relief”.

I'm not doubting that trump & republicans get routinely paid off by big pharma & other lobbyists. that said, big pharma's highest profits in the last 25-30 years have been during clinton & obama terms, so it would seem trump & the right are not the only politicians getting bought by pharma.

add to this the fact that left leaning youtube has been shutting down cbd health videos recently, and it would seem, logically enough, that everyone's getting paid off.

I suggest you look at the prosperity of this country

What have you got against it being compared with cancer? After all, cancers are really good at growth and prosperity too, and lots of resources migrate to them and lots of cells seem willing to live in them as well.

There are many fine people in the US and many good features and accomplishments in it's culture.

But if you are suggesting that it's prosperity is evidence that people comparing the US economy with cancer are crazy, I suggest considering that some key characteristics of cancers are uncontrolled growth, taking resources for their growth to the detriment of the host organism, and polluting and harming the surrounding environment with their aggressions and byproducts. If you are not aware that these have been significant features of the US economy and foreign policy for a long time, then I suggest reading history from a wider range of sources. (Not that the US is alone in some of these things, but it's been a dominant player in the field.)

Obama and Clinton also represented the right.
There's a great deal of the world to the left of all 3 of them - some of it probably pretty honest.

i wasn't really judging the honesty of politicians, and their party affiliation, and where they stand on the left-right scale... doesn't matter with big pharma. big pharma is the king of all sectors, with the most lobby power in dc. they've got the whole game covered, and everyone in politics is powerless. my comment was mostly just a dig at the links title for their article, as it seemed like a hit job/click-bait. this has nothing to do with trump. the article does do a good job showing some of the issues, i'll give it that much. big pharma is a marketing machine, it seems every other commercial on tv (in the US) is for a drug. having an alliance with big pharma, be it via insurance, or a free health care system is a bad decision for societies. I live in a free health care system country, and loosing my insurance when i quit work was the best thing to happen to me as i had ingested way too may bad chemical concoctions to that point.

Lest we forget the Dutch East India Company, the British East India Company, the Russians in Alaska and Canada, the colonies of Britain like India, South Africa and Canada and of course the Americas. All raping the people and the environment long before the USA. Some might say worse..

I think you are right that big pharma has huge political influence, and that it's not just about any one or a select few individuals politicians.

Indeed, the US did not invent colonisation. I'm not sure it's useful to try to compare which was worst - they all had some terrible effects. And there have been others. In recent decades, the US has been a big player.
