A study has been published in December. It has been discussed here (in German). I have not yet read the study. The German article claims that the study protocol has been changed. (This would be fraud.) The author criticizes the plans to allow the placebo group to get vaccinated (which would mean that long term the is not placebo group at all). Some of the information is only found in the appendix. The data are somewhat mixed:

"Symptomatic covid-19" reports the data 7+ days after the second vaccination (after the first vaccination the "efficacy" would otherwise be only 82%). For "severe covid-19", on the other hand, the data are counted starting with the very first day

I like this graph (yellow = vaccinated, not infected; blue = placebo, not infected

154 out of 21,728 are protected, and not 95 out of 100.

Thanks to a German video I was made aware that there were two vaccine candidates. This post now is about the one that is used in the vaccine. The pictures below are the phase 1 trial.

The scientist who posted the video pointed out a couple of things:

  • It is unclear why they used the higher dose (30mcg) for phase 3 and finally the end product. Binding assays didn't show much of a difference at lower doses. --> Tests with lower doses are warranted as the side effects increase with the dose.
  • Immunity has been shown only in-vitro.
  • It has not been shown that a second dose is necessary.
  • How stable is the RNA? How long does manipulation last?
  • ...

Safety and Immunogenicity of Two RNA-Based Covid-19 Vaccine Candidates

Here come a couple of figures from the study:

Lymphocyte count decreased after the jab!
c.
BNT162b2 18–55 years of age; d. BNT162b2 65–85 years of age.
