Food processor.

He said the blade that
cuts the carrot into fine angel-hair is perfect.
It sortuv casts the broadest net for endotoxin.

This from the new KMUD Herb Doctors.
I have a food processor and I think I have that kind of "blade"...!

The question arises:
How to process the carrot longitudinally...?

That is another Peat Carrot Precept:
it should be "grated" longitudinally.
He said that in an interview I recently listened to.

This type of peeler can work:

But it won't matter that much from the moment you start chewing..

When I was new to Peat stuff
I thought people were kidding when they said that Peat said
to grate longitudinally.
But I've heard him say that himself in a couple of interviews.

He says just eating/chewing an ungrated carrot is fine.
But he does pretty clearly think the longitudinal thing is better.
Even though it will be chewed.
Apparently the fiber cells are aligned in the carrot lengthwise
and if that can be somewhat preserved
they provide a more effective "net" for endotoxin capture.

I'm not sure, Narouz, if the ingestion of carrots captures or generates endotoxins due to the fermentation of fibers..
I like the idea of a carrot salad but maybe the benefits have more to do with the anti microbial properties that only let certain strains to flourish (and ferment) while punishing the majority of others (forcing them to be eliminated)..

I don't have the knowledge to prove any of it, Amazon.
Just relaying the details of what Peat thinks.

He doesn't think the carrot "generates" endotoxin.
He thinks the longitudinal carrot strands work best for 2 reasons:
1. the antibiotic effect
2. the capturing effect

At least that is my interpretation.:D

I have been reading forum members' writings on carrot salad, I have read a few posts that suggest the carrots should not be chewed much before swallowing, is this true?

On the one hand, why make an effort to peel the carrots longitudinally if you are going to chew them in your mouth after that? On the other hand, I don't find the idea of not chewing them as much as I want appealing.
