Palmitic acid (PA), but not oleic acid or linoleic acid, promotes metastasis in oral carcinomas and melanoma in mice. Tumours from mice that were fed a short-term palm-oil-rich diet (PA), or tumour cells that were briefly exposed to PA in vitro, remained highly metastatic even after being serially transplanted (without further exposure to high levels of PA).

Don't have much time to read the full study rn, but from what I can see the "pro-cancer" effects were only seen in-vitro. Multiple in-vivo studies have already found palmitic acid to have anti-cancer effects. Here are two.

I was surprised to see that on our local news...they are promoting PUFA again and again

...and it also coincides with the recent fearmongering about aspirin. They changed the guidelines to now say that they no longer recommend it for prevention to people >65yo due to "bleeding risks", despite aspirin actually decreasing deadly bleeding risks in both brain and GI tract. Now it is left to the patient to press a doctor for aspirin and of course the doctor is required to adhere to the official guidelines, so the doctor will probably resist such requests. All in all, it will result in a lot fewer people taking aspirin in an age group that has very high risk of developing pretty much any chronic disease and that = Big Pharma profits. Yay, the greedy/genocidal scum strikes again!

is aspirin made synthetically or do they actually extract it from willow tree bark. is it possible the acetic acid and salicylic acid used in aspirin if theyre made synthetically could cause issues, and in that case would it be better to use a willow tree bark extract

The study didn't use palmitic acid, they used something that contained palmitic, but unknown pufa content. Palm oil can be ~10% pufa. Garbage study.

The amount of trash recipients in aspirin pills is impressive, even the typical 75mg daily pills for cardiac contains a lot of nonsense, even titanium dioxide.
Even more ironic I see many pills containing titanium dioxide that are pharmaceutical grade and now there are news of it titanium dioxide being banned in 2022.
