Oral Dosage For SALICYLIC ACID Same As Oral Dosage For Aspirin?

I have some food-grade salicylic acid (not acetylsalicylic acid) and am wondering how much SA would be an equivalent dose to ASA. 1:1 ratio?

Would pure SA with a meal or a very large glass of water cause too much irritation? More than aspirin?

I read SA is irritating to the stomach, but I think mixing it with baking soda makes sodium salicylate, the same as mixing aspirin+baking soda.

So what's the estimate of the amount of salicylic acid that gets metabolized from acetylsalicylic acid? Salicylic acid is the only bulk substance I can obtain around here and I reckon you need less of it to get the effect of the higher amount of aspirin, but I wonder if anyone already got the dosage narrowed down?

Is anyone taking salicylic acid on a regular basis? Can anyone provide how to calculate aspirin equivalent dose for taking plain salicylic acid?
