I have been for one month on Thiroyd NDT now...

It seems that my Libido is getting less...

Isn't that weird?

Not soo weird when you realize that taking a thyroid supplement (increased metabolism) increases your utilization of all vitamins, minerals, and hormones. I've read that a lot of people taking thyroid supplementation benefit by also taking some pregnenolone. :2cents

So in essence your increased metabolism provided by your thyroid supplementation has caused you to burn through most of your steroid hormone reserves. Testosterone being one of the steroid hormones in the adrenal cascade naturally drops along with all the other steroid hormones causing loss of libido... :2cents

Marcar,

So is the solution (besides a good RP diet) some extra Preg?

All my sex hormones are good my Test is even a bit to high..

Aldosterone, Cortisol and Preg. are low in my bloodtest (Estradiol is low too)

Did you increase all essential nutrients including calories and carbs to support faster/hotter metabolism? Amongst other things, sugar is useful for helping the body to produce enough cholesterol as a substrate for testosterone and other steroid hormones (including pregnenolone).

I am dealing with the same thing on NDT, it was worse on synthetics. It seems thyroid is linked to rising SHBG which binds to free testosterone making less available. While you can have high total T, you can have low free T. I don't have any labs to prove this for myself though you can find plenty of info about it online.

How many grains are you taking?

Ok that's not much so I'm surprised it's affecting your libido, did you get shbg in your labs?

I am experiencing the exact same thing, and have been on NDT a similar amount of time. Should NDT be tailored down or calories/sugar increased?

Annoyingly, I feel in all other aspects of health i have seen improvements

If low libido is the only problem then small amount of DHEA (2-5 mg) or
Cyproheptadine ( half to 1 mg twice a day) can change that.
My guess is that we do not often increase the dietary intake of
nutrients to support the extra requirements. I intentionally keep
my thyroid function bit lower just to avoid eating all the time.
Milk is an excellent food for sexual energy but it keeps me calm.
I think it is a good thing for me that feeling good with better thyroid
function means lower desire but higher energy.
I am not sure if you meant lower desire or lack of sexual energy
by "low libido"
