Some insights I thought were interesting:
  • No Caloric Restriction & diet including Saturated Fats: "Mr Reynolds said his aunt believed there was no secret to a long life and "enjoyed butter and cream and she scoffed at idea of dieting".
  • Clean Air: "moving to the south coast"
  • Passion and Purpose: "love of sailing and travelling"
  • Anti-Authoritarian: "independent spirit"

To be honest I always had the impression that people who get extremely old live in caloric deficits almost all the time
I see peat more as a way to live well than to reach extreme ages

What I see the most important “external” piece is that she lived and died at home.

She wasn’t in a facility or care center correct?

That probably added 25 years imo.
