"Nofap" Mechanism

What is the "NOFAP" mechanism? Because no drug or supplement can simulate what it transmits at least after two weeks ... is it just a fact of low / high dopamine prolactin or is there anything else? I thought it was just a legend but the face and eyes change and makes you look younger. I just wanted to understand if sperm containment activates a secondary energy?

Nofap is in a way restoring the body to how it should be, you shouldnt be constantly spiking prolactin and wrecking your dopamine systems. Normalising your hormone levels is a very powerful thing.

From my experiences with lisuride, I would bet it is dopamine/prolactin based

So assuming to use an antiprolactinic could we have the same effects? resulting in dopamine increase?

Nofap is in a way restoring the body to how it should be, you shouldnt be constantly spiking prolactin and wrecking your dopamine systems. Normalising your hormone levels is a very powerful thing.

But I believe that only the intake of extra food destroys ... but eating "healthy" has never brought me the same effects as "nofap"

If you are spiking your prolactin and messing with your dopamine daily through excess masurbstion and pornography, why do you think diet would give you the same effects as nofap? It's two completely different things.

I don't think taking a dopamine agonist while continuing to excessively masturbate and have no repercussions will work, if that is what you are hoping someone will tell you.

It depends on how bad your addiction is and how you react and feel after it. Humans should be able to have sex in a healthy way and not have to take some weird pharmaceutical afterwards to counteract it. It should feel satisfying and enjoyable, you should be relaxed and content afterwards.

If you are excessively masturbating and feeling the negative effects, I think you are missing the whole point to be honest if you are trying to shortcut with drugs.

It's like having a tack on your floor and stepping on it every day and saying why dont I just put a band aid on my foot to stop it bleeding?

Ejaculation is healthy and relaxing, the prolactin goes back to normal after a few hours.
Best to take multivitamins with zinc and b6. Much more dopaminergic equilibrium plus several benefits...

Ejaculation in excess is not healthy, and I believe that is what the OP is talking about. A healthy person without an issue in this area wouldnt notice the improvements from abstinence that the OP mentioned.

Prolactin can be elevated for days after, haidut has also spoken about this in the podcasts with Danny.

For someone with a porn/masturbation addiction, a bit of zinc and b6 isnt enough.

The main mechanism is definitely the normalization of prolactin. It stays chronically elevated during masturbation addiction, rather than the quick spike we see post real sex. After real sex, the prolactin levels normalize only this time there's also an increase in testosterone. As opposed to masturbation, the prolactin rises marginally, and just stays there. If you don't release enough prolactin, you don't have a feeling of "satisfaction." So it's easy to fall into the negative feedback of chronically elevated prolactin and chronic dissatisfaction.

Best thing for you to do is just stop. Some things that can assist your recovery is fat solubles (A, D, K, E), zinc, calcium, sugar, cholesterol, pregnenolone, and thyroid. Not all at once mind you, lol.

The sugar is good for increasing cholesterol production. And having good thyroid function with adequate fat soluble vitamin stores will result in rapid conversion of cholesterol into pregnenolone and all the other youth-related protective hormones. Zinc helps suppress prolactin and keep testosterone normal, and calcium keeps PTH down which opposes thyroid.

From my blood tests, the prolactin surge inst even significant, this after several ejaculations the night before the blood is taken.
Zinc and b6 can cause a very strong blunt of prolactin in some people. The definition of addiction is quite unspecific.
Just a few shots of bromocriptine or cabergoline can normalize prolactin for months or even years.

Dopamine is involved with controlling prolactin (dopamine agonists are used as the treatment of prolactinoma) so are you suggesting excess pornography doesn't effect the dopamine systems of the body, or are you suggesting dopamine doesnt control prolactin?

I never suggested that porn doesn't affect dopamine or prolactin, let alone dopamine not affecting prolactin (what??? How did you come to this conclusion, just after I talking about dopamine agonists causing long lasting prolactin suppression???).

My prolactin was 18 around 2 years ago.

My prolactin was 7.2 ng in the last test I showed on the forum. Loved your searching on my profile, pretty accurate isn't?

Your first post said ejaculation doesn't cause a spike in prolactin. Try to keep up.

Of course your prolactin dropped if you are taking multiple pharmaceutical dopamine agonists. Have you not questioned why you need dopamine drugs at 17 years old? You should be in the best hormonal profile of your whole life, you shouldn't need anything.

It is ridiculous to claim the effect of masturbation on prolactin when you are taking multiple pharmaceuticals which would act on the exact hormone you are suggesting it has no effect on.
