I have no desire for porn when I'm well balanced, mentally and physically.

Peat once described Selye's definition of stress as something like "the gap between the resources demanded by a stressor and the amount of resources the body has to apply towards the stress" something like that. So if you have the resources available (energy, high metabolism etc) why would it matter how many times you have sex or FAP. Secondarily, which is the bigger stressor, sex/masturbating or resisting the urge to do either ?

When I was away from my partner doing some training, I rarely think of masturbation and porn and I like to call her often in my free time, unless I supplement with pregnenolone. I get urges to watch porn and masturbate and I don't think of calling her. Now I think of it, that wasn't healthy. I think in my case either pregnenolone increases my cortisol or estrogen. I don't think I feel natural. Just sharing my experience.

Would you say you have a higher desire for sex (a la Peat's claimed "insatiable estrogenic sex drive") when you're in poorer health?

Because it's possible (if not probable) that even the highest theoretically achievable metabolic rate cannot match the energetic demands of the most sexually stimulating lifestyle achievable for most people (aka watching porn multiple times a day)

Perfect.

I wish more people understood this effect of estrogen. I used to have it and it used to make me want to **** anything that moved. Now, my best friend and wife have it, and they insist on an open relationship and that need novelty and other stuff. (all I'm thinking is, well if you weren't on cocaine... but what am I supposed to do that isn't authoritarian?)

I think there is a balance, on one end there was me after birth when I wanted nothing to do with sex, breastfeeding is very good at suppressing libido, and for good reasons! Child spacing is a must! And on the other end where I felt manic and was ok with destroying my marriage over sexual fantasies. Unfortunately I think some of the Peat stuff was good at producing this type of manic energy. Particularly coffee. And now I am okay with being satisfied whenever we have time to do it. Actually I was just thinking about how maybe I need to satisfy desires a bit more because when we do it doesn't last very long, sensitivity is thru the roof, but maybe thats all the energy I have to give to arousal as I am still lactating and raising young kids. I'll take the sex dreams I get every month around ovulation.

There are two kinds of sexual desire, in my experience. One is a painful horniness, it is very annoying, and that usually results in masturbation, or if in a relationship, masturbation and sex, but it's not a fun kind of horniness at all.

The other kind is a high drive. But not a painful or difficult drive. It results in accomplishment and achievement, a feeling of dominance and mastery in men and women too, and you don't want to masturbate, you want to have sex with your partner.

The second kind is the kind that makes having a partner super enjoyable, and being in a relationship super wonderful. It's one of the best things about being alive if you're lucky enough to experience it.

Yeah, postpartum usually the menstrual cycle takes a while to come back if breastfeeding is suppressing hormones. It took 19 months first time, and 22 months 2 nd time for me to get my cycle back. And libido definitely came back then! I can attest to the dryness without those strong hormones.

Nofap is just as bad as Allfap.

Your reserves run out eventually...
We must found the island of SomeFap, and it will be populated with neo-conservatives. It will have a flat rate income tax of 25%, John McCain shall rule us with an iron not-so-raised fist, and we will all drink 8 glasses of water per day, get at least 2 grams of omega-3 PUFA, and eat a safe starch-based diet with plenty of sweet potatoes cooked in olive oil.
