Current research in the psychiatric field suggests that probably the primary cause of schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorders is in NMDA receptors. In particular, a hypofunction has been noted, therefore glutamate probably cannot enter the canals ... consequently energy production (krebs cycle) is compromised as well as many other functions.
Pregnenolone was seen as a positive modulator of NMDA receptors and also in GABAa.
The same thing the serine being NMDA agonist.
Has anyone had any experiences in this particular case?
