Thank you for posting that Adam Rowland interview @Elderflower j58 . I cried listening to his story. Heart breaking stuff. It reminds me of what happened to me the months following the tetanus poison I was given 3 years ago. I was clueless about vaccines then. Everyone needs to watch this because we need to prepare ourselves for a future where we doctor ourselves. If I wasn't on vitamin E in those months I'm sure I would have died.

@ThinPicking

Thank you for asking after me but unfortunately I have no idea how I am doing because I feel I've been completely let down by the NHS.
I assume you are speaking about my hysterectomy.
I refused the surgery only agreeing to the huge cyst been removed.

They then decided to hone in on the much smaller 5.3 cm cyst on my remaining right ovary which initially they said was no problem .
After my refusal to do a hysterectomy they agreed to monitor me three montthly with blood markers and scans (ultrasound).
I only received one scan.... if I recall correctly it was either March or April the results came in May.

They still wanted to do a full radical hysterectomy and the diagnosis on my scan was a
Cystadenofibroma... Which they neglected to tell me was non malignant.
Ultrasound also revealed that cyst had shrunk to 4. 6cm... this I attribute to progesterone and dmso topically,
obviously that is just anecdotal.
Every single appointment they gave me was a telephone appointment I was disgusted I asked them how they were going to do a scan over the phone and the answer was the NHS is in Crisis people much worse off than me need help and if pain got too bad go to my GP (my invisible GP) or A&E
hooray I have an upcoming telephone appointment on the 20th of this month.

UKColumn blog discussing dementia - scroll down to relevant section

From the blog

The NHS has announced that thanks to a new specialist service to be rolled out in 2023, hundreds (more like thousands, I say) will be checked for dementia. According to experts, the pandemic has significantly impacted those with dementia and the effects it has had on their families. A new trial targeting care home residents (those guinea pigs again) is underway.

Specialist nurses and other healthcare professionals will assess all residents who are not exhibiting any symptoms of dementia to ensure they are not being neglected. GPs will play their part and will share lists of their patients who reside in care homes. Memory tests and full face-to-face assessments will be carried out to determine whether they have early signs of dementia. All with the best of intentions, of course.

A superfit teacher with a heart condition was shocked to find her medical records instructing paramedics not to give CPR if she suffered a cardiac arrest. Fiona McVey, 44, is now demanding to know if health authorities are routinely marking files with such instructions due to the current NHS crisis.

The one exception to this rule is if the health professionals in charge of your care think you lack the capacity to make an informed and voluntary decision.

"Capacity" means the ability to use and understand information to make a decision, and communicate any decision made.

All adults are presumed to have sufficient capacity to decide on their own medical treatment, unless there's significant evidence to suggest otherwise.

A person lacks capacity if their mind is impaired or disturbed in some way, and this means the person is unable to make a decision at that time.

Examples of how a person's mind may be impaired include:

mental health conditions

dementia

physical or mental conditions that cause confusion, drowsiness or a loss of consciousness

intoxication caused by drug or alcohol misuse

“But someone with anorexia who's severely malnourished and rejects treatment because they refuse to accept there's anything wrong with them would be considered incapable.

This is because they're regarded as not fully understanding the reality of their situation or their consequences.”

“In some cases, people can be considered capable of deciding some aspects of their treatment but not others.

For example, a person with severe learning difficulties may be capable of deciding on their day-to-day treatment, but incapable of understanding the complexities of their long-term treatment.

Some people with certain health conditions may have periods when they're capable and periods when they're incapable.

For example, a person with schizophrenia may have psychotic episodes when they cannot distinguish between reality and fantasy, during which they may not be capable of making certain decisions.

A person's capacity can also be temporarily affected by:

shock
panic
extreme tiredness (fatigue)
medication“
