they were given 50g natto daily for 14 days, so half the doses shown. carboxylated gla osteocalcin peaked by 1295mcg MK-7 per 100g natto (650mcg dose) [somewhere between 430mcg - 650mcg has max effect]

Also saw another study that showed 100mcg mk7 daily reduced uncarboxylated osteocalcin -20%. obviously a lot of the mk-7 studies are coming from companies tied to japanese food industry etc because that's where the incentive to study is, but that's what there is to go by.

what about mk-4?
if tolerated well mk-4 1.5mg for proper carboxylation idk if fully, for k1 its 1mg (k1 probably needs enough vitamin A to work well at least a few thousand IU daily vit a over time) A high phylloquinone intake is required to achieve maximal osteocalcin gamma-carboxylation - PubMed

not sure but probably doesn't have to be in food form for same effect. studies have shown max carboxylation from supplements at least in the other forms

No natto involved but maybe still relevant.
nice, massive difference there thanks. another cool thing about that is it shows reversal of existing calcification (mk-7 was given after aging to see more acute effects)

30mg/kg so ~300mcg 350mcg human equivalent dose over their life time

that study looks korean and this one is from saudi arabia. so not japanese connected on surface level at least
