I heard a story a while ago of a Sardinian man who discovered he had advanced cancer while living in Chicago. He rejected treatment and decided to go home to die but wound up fully recovering ostensibly due to the local food, environment, good friends and no/low stress. I believe Sardinia is also a blue zone.

This article was remarkably stupid, another riff on the discredited Hayflick Limit and the myth of telomeres. Yawn. Dr. Peat made a comment that stuck with me. He said that very old healthy people have guts of steal, something to that effect. They just have iron digestion. Maybe that was the metaphor. I think gut health is EVERYTHING.
