My mother has cancer

Hi there I'm new to this forum but I know about Ray Peat since 2007 and do his "regimen" not as strictly as some of you but most of it. Anyway, as you can see in the title this is not about me but my mother. Yesterday I was in the hospital with my mother since she is coughing since months. Before we went to the hospital she got treated for pneumonia but the antiobiotic's didn't help much, so she got a CT scan and there is something growing inside her lungs. The doctor wants to do a bronchoskopie (spelling ?) and if they are able to, cut something out of the tumor.

I asked Ray about it and he basically told me that she should use Aspirin with Vitamin K, Progesterone , the carrot salad drink some Baking soda (for Co2) since she panics breathing in the bag. I asked him in detail how much Aspirin etc unfortuneately he didn't answer back, maybe he's got something to do or the mail got lost I don't know. However, I thought since this is a forum there might be a high possibility that people already asked Ray about it in more detail so I give it a try. Here are some of my questions:

1. My mother doesn't like the idea drinking baking soda, but baking soda baths would be ok. Does anyone do this or something similiar and if yes how much baking soda do you use for the bath and which temperature should the water be ?

2. He told me about Aspirin but how much Aspirin and how much Vitamin K ? I don't want that she gets nosebleeds etc , since she is already coughing a little bit of blood

3. What do you think of heating therapy ? My mother is always cold so I suggested a hot water bag.

4. Where do I get all the stuff? I'm from Germany and need a reliable source for the supplements.

5. Anyone else who got some recommendations?

P.S Sorry about my english but this is not my first language

One of the most important strategies in curing cancers is to try best to know what caused it in the first place and remove that variable. E.g if it was cigarettes either from smoking or being around smokers, or caused by exhaust fumes from living in a built up area (and these scenarios are most likely in lung cancer) then for the time of treatment being somewhere with clean air is essential. Even remaining indoors with a top-of-the-line air purifier would be beneficial. Do you know the cause? If it is asbestos exposure then curing it can be extremely difficult as the material remains in the lungs. Also getting rid of pretty much all household chemicals (cleaners, shampoos, perfumes) etc as they contain toxic contaminants which are can cause respiratory diseases. Being aware that leather sofas are sprayed with formaldehyde and bed linen can be sprayed with flame retardants. So basically going chemical-free and organic can be quite important throughout the household. After taking care of chemical exposure then move onto curing.

In this case one would want higher dose aspirin but of course being careful with bleeding. One can start slowly and increase. Generally 1-2mg K2 per 325mg aspirin should cover clotting issues although I would take something like (as per Peatarian) Super K by Life Extension.
Peatarian can chime in with sources for everything as she is in Germany too.

I would personally drink the baking soda no matter how much I dislikes the taste. In life and death situations, perhaps taste can be thrown aside? But maybe one can achieve good results bathing though no idea. Also Epsom salt baths for the Magnesium content would be beneficial. I think heat therapy can be useful, it supports the metabolism.
Desiccated thyroid would be a must, at the very least some T3.

Coffee is very useful and with cancer especially coffee enemas for rapid cleansing of the liver (a healthy liver is needed in any cancer). Drinking coffee would be my 2nd choice but still good for similar reasons and increasing the metabolism. I think Peatarian type progesterone dosing at least at the outset would be useful. Like a bottle of Progest-E every 1-2 weeks.

If it were me, I would avoid any more radiation (X-Rays and CT scans) as they can cause DNA damage.
I personally would not accept the standard treatment (chemotherapy, radiation, surgery) if it were me.

Naturally I can not legally recommend any of the above to you but it is what I would do if it were me or my mother.

For the bath, the amounts recommended are one pound of Epsom salts and one pound of baking soda per bath. I use about 2 cups of each. Then, per peatarian, also add aspirin to bath. She can use 10 of the 325mg per bath.

Im not sure that these bath aspirins need to be balanced with as much vit K as the ones taken by mouth. Still you'll want to add some K for them. Maybe 20per cent is absorbed thru the skin? Does anybody know how much K is needed here?

I guess about 20% would be right. So 1mg K2 for every 5 x 325mg aspirin bath would be about right I think.

I was thinking about the bag. Has she tried a small bag? I use a small one that covers just my nose and mouth. The thing is to let it be loose so a little oxygen comes in too. This helps me do it. Maybe for her too...

Yeah she smoked for 37 years but stopped since 11 days without smoking a single cigarette not much but at least she will do something , she will do an inspection tomorow and let it cut out but she will refuse radation and chemo. The main problem was I guess not only the smoking but bad diet too. She always ate very little had cold hands low blood pressure = low metabolism  , when I was saying it was quite warm in a room she would start to shiver. I assume the reason why she has cancer so "late" in her years is due to the fact that she drank quite a lot of coffee (no decaf) but in the recent years stopped that.

I thank you all guys for your informations and will keep this thread uptaded...

She will do the bag breathing when she is coming home . My mother has , I don't know how to explain it, irrational anxiety problems in particular about breathing/respiration she thinks she will suffocate.

I think by refusing chemo and radiation your mother has a very good chance.
I hope she starts with the coffee again.
Look, read the PM I send you. I think the first question I asked is answered by you saying she will not allow doctors to kill her.
The surgery will make her feel worse because of the stress, tissue damage and the increased oxygen intake.
Can't she delay the surgery until she has the progest-e-complex? It would at least protect her from the worst damage.

Don't lose hope and make sure the doctors don't tell your mother bull**** she can't get out of her head and her system anymore. When somebody tells you you have a terrible disease and only have to live for a certain time, there is a process started that cannot be stopped easily. Words do their own damage and it can be severe.

* I think 'going somewhere with clean air' is a matter of how well she feels and if there is enough money for that. I could recommend places near Germany.

In this case one would want higher dose aspirin but of course being careful with bleeding. One can start slowly and increase. Generally 1-2mg K2 per 325mg aspirin should cover clotting issues although I would take something like (as per Peatarian) Super K by Life Extension.

* Thanks, nwo2012 - I did. 3g of aspirin are safe if you use enough vitamin K. Rutin powder and bromelain, vitamin E and vitamin A will protect the cells and prevent bleeding. But I have to say - even if I had had nose bleeds, I would have preferred that to having cancer.

* Totally agree. But I think she misunderstood the baking soda. In Germany Baking soda is something else. Ray Peat means NaHCO3 Sodium bicarbonate. In Germany that would be Kaiser Natron. Bathing in it helps, too. I bath in it and use it orally. You only need a tiny bit in a glass of orange juice or coffee (you will not taste it). Don't forget about the thyroid. It's essential!
The heat therapy is called hyperthermia. This clinic in Germany offers it: http://www.biomedklinik.de/
There might be more by now.

* With cancer I would suggest at least one bottle a week, at the beginning maybe more. But you don't get it in Germany for less than 31 Euro plus shipping. So it's really a question of your budget, I'm afraid.

* I don't care about legally: Chemotherapy and radioactive radiation are carcinogen and will cause pain, suffering, sickness and death.

I have to watch the legality due to my current employment. ;)

I knew you would add in some good stuff in the treatment. And I could not agree more, these idiots who think that they are just being honest start a destructive process usually at a patient's bedside with absolutely no privacy. I can tell you what I heard just last week (more frontline stories Peatarian). The 'Specialist' - that term is a joke in itself, comes into a room that has four patients in it. He pulls the curtains round this patient's bed (like that blocks out noise, I could hear everything and I was standing in the doorway at the opposite end! And this were his exact words: "It's bad news I'm afraid, the biopsy results show that the tumour is quite aggressive. We can offer you treatment options but you probably have a matter of months rather than years". Of course the patient burst into tears, he had just been handed a death sentence. How can one now not release lots of cortisol and adrenaline (plus serotonin then oestrogen) and help speed up the disease process? Then will be given lots of chemotherapy to finish off the immune system and liver. They may as well introduce euthanasia for these people as they are doing just that, executing them.
Rant over.

Yes. It sends a chill down my spine, nwo2012. I've been in that doorway. And in that bed.
(Bit different outlook though, the percentages were on my side and I didn't get an expiration date.)

Well said, nwo2012. The people who most need help are about the least understood and most savagely mistreated by the medical cartel.

Hey guys I just wanted to do a little update.

My mother took the lung inspection quite well , her blood pressure was very low 85/47 maybe because she didn't eat anything since 10 hours plus the narcotics. Peatarian mentioned that they might using Ringer-acetat for hydration I told my mother that she should use NaCl and ask the doctor about it, of course she didn't and when I arrived I saw the little bag with the Ringer Acetet with the hose right into the vein. I called the doctor that they should replace it for NaCl what they reluctantly did. I guess Ray peat mentioned somewhere that NaCl (salt water)is anti stress for the body plus glucose .

Glad to hear this report ^^. It's too bad that when we know a little, and ask for better treatment, we are scorned. And I love the attitude that patients are children to be called "dear" or whatever.

Ray Peat writes about lactate and how it can be very harmful. This was similar to the idea of cancer as proposed by Warburg and Koch early in the 20th century.

That was a good start, I wish you both the best of luck and regards.

@ltu thank you :)

Today the doctor told us the diagnosis and what treatment she should do, before he did that I told my parents he will come up with chemo and radiation and that's exactly what he did, even though he said to me at tuesday he wouldn't recommend it if it is his wife ( so why do you recommend it for my mother ? ). He is not very fond of hyperthermia and asked me :" Don't you think that the doctor who will do the hyperthermia will take a lot of money?" Of course I knew his intention for this question, thinking somebody who takes money is automatically a quack. So in return I asked him whether the pharma industry gets a lot of money for their chemo products from the health care system... then there was silence. Anyway here is what we are trying to do.

Diet: She has to eat more in general in particular carbs and protein this includes meats, cheese and jello. She will drink black tea with sugar, cola, coffee for the caffeine and minerals/vitamins. Thankfully we switched to butter years ago so her diet wasn't that unsaturated. Oh yeah I forgot the carrot salad

Light therapy: Sitting in very bright light in the morning and at night troughout the day , and shining the light at the chest for a few hours a day.

Co2 Therapy: This incluedes bag breathing, drinking baking soda drinks, epsom salt baths with baking soda and maybe getting her in a bag full of Co2.

Progesterone: 100 mg 3 or 4 times a day

Thyroid: Thyroid supplement

Vitamins. A 10000 i.U and D 2000 i.U

Unfortunately she can't take aspirin right now because she is bleeding from the bronchus , they burned that part, however it can "flare" up everytime.

It will take some time to get the stuff , wish us luck . :)
