"the plant Mucuna pruriens is well known for its anti-snake venom properties, and it has been claimed that the oral intake of few seeds can protect an individual for a year against snakebites"

"Some patients are allergic to anti-venom and show sudden signs of neurotoxicity, edema at various body parts, shortness of breath, weak pulse, muscles tenderness, dizziness, fainting, and in some cases death due to hemorrhage"

Up to a year of immunity is extraordinary.
Thanks for posting, looks more promising than the allergic reactions to standard anti-venom.

pretty cool np
that would be wild , in mice effect drops weaker over time but at minimum its proven to work in them well for 2 & 3 weeks after, so is extended
same venom amount that kills 100% of the mice , shows 75% survival rate if mucuna extract is given 1 day before. or 62% survival rate if given 14 days before

and 3 doses with 1 dose a week gives a bigger protection

When Naja sputatrix and Calloselasma rhodostoma venom were injected on day 7 (after one injection of MPE) to the pre-treated rats, none of animals survived. When the venoms were injected on day 14 (after two injections of MPE), the survival rates for the pre-treated animals were 33% and 17% for Naja sputatrix and Calloselasma rhodostoma venom, respectively. When the venoms were injected on day 21 (after three injections of MPE), the survival rates increased to 84% and 33%, for the two venoms
