Congratulations on your weight loss success! That is a huge amount to lose! I don’t know that it is as simple as calories in and calories burned being the key to weight loss for me. I believe, as RP does, that what the calories are made of matters. I have lost 20 pounds since starting this thread to prove that, and it wasn’t painful at all. There was no diet I was on and there is not diet to go off of. It is all in the the timing of food and how you pair things that will enable me to not have to worry about losing weight again.Weight loss is calories in, calories out. It's why animals get fat in the Summer by overeating foods, then lose their weight by hibernating in the Winter.
You could eat potato chips and McDonalds, or drink orange juice and milk; makes no difference so long as you're in a calorie deficit.
Obviously some diets are far healthier and sustainable than others, though.
I've lost 40 pounds in 6 months, and have 60 more to go. It's difficult and painful to lose weight (at least for me), but everyone can do it with the right knowledge, discipline, and scientific understanding.
