Transdermal absorption is a thing, and keeping that in mind its wise to limit phyto/xenoestrogens in cosmetics, soap, dish soap, work, etc. Switching soaps and keeping my shower roughly room temp have created some drastic changes in appearance. Hard for supplements to work if they're constantly fighting with exogenous estrogen intake I guess.

Personally I'm just not showing that often.... =P

I've already been on No Shampoo for about 4 months now and it's definitely been a positive change. What body soap would people recommend to limit phyto/xenoestrogens?

I use Castille Soap, which still has essential oils unfortunately, but its cheaper than the pure yuppie soaps that run 4-8 bucks a bar and its better than typical soaps. I also don't wash in conditions where my pores would be open either. Roughly body temp water or below and minimize continued soap contact.

Highly suspicious. The paper is not even published, just preliminary info and already the BBC is reporting? This is possibly a concerted action to slowly but surely regulate and ban Essential oils. Mind, these are concentrated, freely availbale
substances full of highly active, interesting molecules. Some might be estrogenic, but others are highly beneficial in many situations. Also, they used cancer cells in vitro and applied concentrated oils, doesnt say much about application in skin care for example, where they are used in 1% conc. for example.

So much xenoestrogens about in industrial and commercial products that we are supposed to eat, put on skin, inhale and so forth ... and they make a fuss about EOs

+1 ... Megadosing lemon oil (50 drops) one day gave me a ton of self-reflective insights and new ideas, presumably like how people claim psychedelics do. It's a little life-changer.
The people who run those kinds of mainstream propaganda websites are scumbags. I believe that article is what the children of today would call, "fear-porn"

I suppose since essential oils are made from plants, which have phytoestrogens, there very well may be some in the final product. There needs to be more analysis to show just how much estrogens are really in certain essential oils. We have to be careful, really, about anything we put on our skin, especially on a regular basis. I hope this brings about further studies to find out just how much estrogens are in the oils. However, it still looks like xenoestrogens are the bigger problem for most people, since they are in everything today.
