i have started a potato diet 2 weeks ago with success.
Because i want to follow a low fat diet for the second time and don't want to fry my potato's in fat.
i was thinking what the best method is to reduce alkaloid's much as possible.
So i little search i found this.

1: boiling potato's reduced alkaloid's by 1.2%
2: microwaving reduced alkaloid's by 15%
3: deep-frying reduced alkaloid's by 40%
4: Peeling reduced alkaloid's by 30 to 80%

Because frying in oil is not a option for me, looks like second best approach is peeling and microwaving...
But they don't mention how long they put potato's in the microwave...

So maybe someone here have more info about it?
And what happened when you doubled that time, that result in a higher reduction?

When I cooked baked potatoes in the microwave, it took 10-15 minutes I think.

Honestly, just put it in the microwave with a bit of water if you remove the skin and start with 5-10 minutes. Poke it frequently to test if it's ready.
