Prescribed by Endodontist for continued pain and inflammation following 2nd root canal retreatment. Antibiotics not prescribed as he doesn’t believe infection is present (had cone CT done of tooth). I really do not want to take this drug, preferring to use Alene or Motrin and giving tooth more time to heal. It has been 5 months since initial root canal was done. Should I take the steroid, if yes, how should I protect myself?
