Do you recall if he meant meat, milk, water supply have manganese or fruits and veggies
No, I believe he referred to the totality of the foods that he usually recommends. That would be cheese, milk, fruits, liver and other ruminant meat, shellfish and non-fatty fish.

Drinking a quart of pineapple juice and eating 100g of dark chocolate in a day will yield at least 6mg of manganese. More than plenty (and well over the RDA).

one interesting thing i found is that the traditional sausage casing with animal intestine can provide decent amount of manganese, according to one study intestinal tissue contain highest level of manganese in body(from an study on rats).
Could you post the reference of this study please?
