Methylene blue functions a lot like thyroide (T3) in that it stimulates cellular respiration. There's a good podcast about it with Danny Roddy and Haidut. #11: Nitric Oxide and Methylene Blue

It seems to restore function to damaged mitochondria and displace nitric oxide from cytochrome C in the electron transport chain. There's tons of info about it already on the forum if you search for it.

The 3 studies referenced in the post on the Immortal Hair thread, I'd like to know what dosages or human equivalent were used.

With the claims he's making you'd expect some before and after pictures, but no, nothing at all except.

And the dose he was on was 150-200mg of MB.

isn't displacing cytochrome c only one aspect of the electron transport chain? or does it have other effects that improve mitochondria?

Yeah holy cow isn't that a crap load of MB? he said he was peeing out blue.

Yeah, it's a whole lot.
But then the main study I've seen (it's on the forum somewhere...forget)
on MB's promise with dementia,
that study used 60mg x 3 per day of MB.
Not 100% sure on that, but pretty sure that was the dosage.

And the subjects took that for a long time in the study.
I'm thinking it was 6 months.

I think it was haidut who speculated that the microgram dosage
recommended for general use by Peat and others
(and by haidut as I recall?)
was good for certain things,
whereas the large doses were good for other types of things.

So mcg for antimicrobial effects, and mg for mitochondrial effects?

Darned if I can remember exactly what haidut speculated, arch.
Seems like it may've been closer to the reverse.
haidut was speaking some foreign language I couldn't really understand.

you already have hair according to your avatar photo?
or you suffer from reverse male pattern baldness, balding from the sides and back instead

It would appear to be the exceedingly rare
Faux Kippah Balding Pattern, arch.

A 150 pixel photo can't really convey much info can it. That's like the number of hairs in a square inch...
