Male on TRT bloodwork check, high total test, free test, is that a problem?

Everything looks good to my untrained eye, except the absurd free and total test. I am currently on transcrotal trt cream twice daily, at a concentration of 200mg/g, and .25g per application. I am applying it with a little coconut oil to spread it evenly after having read peat uses vit E with his trt.

i feel ok only downsides are kinda reddish skin, acne, and greasy hair. should I be concerned about a number this high, 1400 total test, or just worry about how I feel? could dial back dose to see if acne improves but it isnt that bad. progesterone also slightly high, is that a problem? are there any symptoms i should be considering at this level?

thanks everyone, trying to navigate hormone replacement therapy has been difficult but i might be zeroing in on a lasting solution

Your doctor is okay with you having 1400 total T? How old are you if you don't mind me asking?

she is ok with it if i feel ok she says, yes. but tbh she seems sorta inexperienced and i kinda just dctate my protocol based on ray peat forum threads lol. i have listened to a few trt optimization type podcasts on youtube that seem to suggest it is ok too. i am 38 and quite active. lift, train bjj often

Have you had dht tested?

Yes, though not at the time of that draw, but back in April of 2021. it was 1250 pg/ml. quite high. at that blood draw the total test was 1237 ng/ml and free was 310 pg/ml. also high.
