Mean corpusc haemoglobin (MCH) 26.8 pb (ref range 27-32pg)
Mean corpusc. Hb. conc (MCHC) 320 g/l (reference range 320-360g/l)
Plasma folate level 7ug/l (range 3.80-25.00 ug/l)
Serum vit B12 273 ng/L (normal range >160 ng/L)
Lymphocyte count 1.1 (normal range 1.5-4.00 9/L)
Thyroid plasma free T4 12.1 (range 7.5-21 pmol/L)
Thyroid plasma TSH level 2.06 mu/l (range 0.34-5.6mu/L)

These labs were taken in 2017 and my Dr did nothing - raised no concerns. I've only just found out the results by asking for back records. Who knows what they are like now, but needless to say my health is a lot worse now than when the labs were taken. I am struggling with the fact that my B12 levels appear to be well into the normal range yet my haemoglobin is below normal. Lymphocyte count also a worry. I understand that taken Iron supplements is not recommended. Is this a utilisation problem? How do I start to resolve this please? Many thanks

B6 may help.

Vitamin B6 is a co-factor in the formation of δ-amino levulinic acid, a rate-limiting step in heme biosynthesis. Vitamin B6 also plays a potentially important role in the incorporation of iron into protoporphyrin, the final step in heme synthesis. Hence, vitamin B6 is an important nutrient for erythropoiesis.
