Are there any drugs that help improve the liver? All I know is of a supplement called Milk Thistle and L-glutamine / glutamate and possibly COQ10 and probiotics but it's not a drug.

Back in the 70s, bodybuilders used to use Inositol and Choline in the off season to treat fatty liver from excess oral steroid use. It seems to have fallen out of favor, but I'm not sure why. I recall reading case studies(in physical print) of patients with such severe fatty liver, they were transplant candidates. However, a few months of inositol and choline later, and they had a normal functioning liver. I never saw *group* studies, and none may exist. But it's certainly something to check into if you're having liver problems.

The only formal study I can find online is from 1948.

It's not a "liver health" supplement. But it seems to be a very powerful treatment for people suffering from severe liver problems.
