lies of the mind

I recently came to the revelation that my thoughts have been the greatest impediment to my health. I only pray that i will be kept in this new place of simplicity. i began to realize this trend where i would always assume some negative health implication to every stress in my life - ultimately creating the *real* stress. with more knowledge comes more sorrow. with more knowledge comes more sorrow. the hardest thing to do with all the knowledge we have amassed is to use it properly.

i had gotten to a place where i thought God was against me - which is a lie of the mind....my thoughts were a kind of willing submission to that lie. when i saw the light, the hope of the light - i felt this burden lift and i saw all of the things which have improved with my health and how my thoughts were clouding everything - totally twisting my perception. For the longest time i blamed the persistent stressors in my outward life.. when really the only stress that kills the soul is the stress of lies in our mind. These truths have been helpful to me lately in putting down those thoughts:

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. - Proverbs 3:5

What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent; - Luke 11:11

Psa 18:25 With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright;
Psa 18:26 With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.
Psa 18:27 For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks.

Pro 4:20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Pro 4:21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
Pro 4:22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

Rom 8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
Rom 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
Rom 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
Rom 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
Rom 8:24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
Rom 8:25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Rom 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

For it is written, “Rejoice, O barren one who does not bear; break forth and cry aloud, you who are not in labor! For the children of the desolate one will be more than those of the one who has a husband.” Galatians 4:27

I think the moral of the story is to keep an open heart to everything, and especially to the sunshine.

Amen Ra
