My third wisdom tooth (upper) was just taken out a little while ago due to being badly decayed. It didn't have anything to press against, so it wasn't that strong, and not very useful either.
Unfortunately this leaves the last wisdom tooth by itself. Its healthy so far, but the lack of the other upper wisdom tooth means that its pushing against my front bridge. My fear is that this will make the teeth asymmetric over time. One solution is to remove that wisdom tooth, but its a good tooth. It seems to me that the best path will be to replace the front bridge and fix the asymmetry there. That bridge is due for replacement soon anyhow.
On a side note, my dentist brought to my attention that I have some nickel in my mouth. Another reason why that bridge needs to go.
