The problem with this story is that he never had any wealth from "gambling" on video poker in the first place.

Video poker machines are basically just slot-machines with a particular % paid out over time (usually 98%+), so it's literally impossible to make a profit long-term.

Also, "professional gamblers" are not risk-takers. Even Dan Belzerian mainly plays against other wealthy dudes, but knows to steer-clear of professionals who will eat him alive.

It appears that his money was coming from another source (might still be legitimate), but this "gambling" narrative just doesn't add up.

The "pro-gambler" story creates a convenient enigma around this guy to keep people from asking more questions.

No matter how many times it's repeated, that is not muzzle flash from that helicopter. Those are anti-collision strobe lights. There's a light flashing on the tail and a light flashing underneath the carriage/cockpit. Review helicopters flying at night in Vegas. Gun fire from a helicopter would have been clearly noticed on the ground. The helicopter in that video is not flying behind Mandalay Bay. You can clearly see the Excalibur and the helicopter is EAST of Las Vegas Blvd and not west of Las Vegas Blvd. Here's the police helicopter flying in between Mandalay Bay and Luxor after the shooting stopped. Notice where the lights are flashing on the copter. One on the tail and one underneath the carriage/cockpit flashing at different times. First the tail light and then the under carriage light.
