Ladies taking progest-e

I read on here that progest-e is recommended from the latter half of the menstrual cycle following ovulation. For those of you that do this-- do you track your cycle for ovulation so you know when to start progest-e?

Hello ammuc... I've taken Progest-E for about 2 1/2 years. I am 51 and have almost no progesterone ... so, I take Progest every day of my cycle but vary the amounts. I also only take it at night as it makes me quite sleepy.

For the first 14 days, I take about 12 drops, and for the second 14 days, I drop it to about 7 drops.

I've also noticed that if I do not vary the dose (say, I keep it at 12 drops every day for a cycle) it really messes with my libido, and will take another cycle to sort it all out.

Every woman's cycle is different, and I experimented a lot with dosing the first year--and I am a bit lucky as I've had my kids, so shutting down my cycle totally to experiment was not problematic.
