Your cholesterol looks fine. Your co2 is bit on the low end .
Carrot salad, 80 grams protein, B vitamins, Steady blood sugar and selenium
helps with conversion of T4 to T3. Carrot salad improves thyroid function
by lowering estrogen. Strict PUFA avoidance is central to improving thyroid.
Gut irritation is one of the major source of health issues including thyroid.

Your TSH is quite high. RP commented that he has never seen a
comfortably healthy person whose TSH was above 2. He believes ideal TSH is below 0.4.
He uses T4 and T3 mix. Here is a quote from RP
"During the night all of the hormones of stress and inflammation rise, and the ice cream decreases them enough for
you to stay asleep, but they still rise. Having more very bright light (several hundred watts of incandescent bulbs) in
the hours from sundown until bedtime will lower them a little more. Since T3 is used up very quickly, allowing the
proinflammatory TSH to rise during the night, it would help if you used Cynoplus at bedtime, instead of Cynomel. If
you were taking 10 mcg of cynomel, then a third of a tablet of cynoplus would provide that, as well as the T4 that
holds the TSH down longer. Having an egg every day, and liver once a week, will help to balance the effects of the
thyroid hormone, which increases your need for vitamins, especially vitamin A.

I use them (incandescent light bulbs) for keeping my area warm, instead of centrally heating the house. My view of
the energy saving light bulbs is that putting a cork in the plug saves more energy (and doesn't contain mercury)."
When I used only Cytomel, any little stress would make me suddenly hypothyroid, and my heart would stop several
times in a minute; when I started using some thyroid, USP, that contained both T4 and T3 it stopped happening.

Thanks a lot. I have actually been following most of the recommendations and am feeling a lot better.

The only thing I wonder about is,well, I take just about an 1/8th of cynomel per day with food, and have had some issues with cynoplus in the past-which is that mix- specifically becoming more hypothyroid with my temps lowering.

Also I'm really having an issue deciding whether to get a red or white bulb. I probably need it as my computer case has a blue led that runs up until I sleep.

Throw a coin. Heads is red, tails white. Both are good, just get one.
