Over the last year a number of people on the forum asked me to release a vitamin K2 supplement as an alternative to the popular (but expensive) Thorne K2 supplement. So, I finally got around to delivering on my promise. Kuinone is a liquid dietary supplement with menatetrenone (MK-4) dissolved in ethanol and SFA esters. If you are wondering what's up with the weird name, well it is a play on the fact that vitamin K is a naphthoquinone, or a type of (q)uinone just like the well-known CoQ10. So, I combined the K from vitamin K and the word quinone to form Kuinone. Hopefully, it is not too confusing to people what the word means.
The fact that it is dissolved in SFA esters + ethanol mixture should dramatically improve topical absorption and allow a much lower daily dose to be used, which will make the bottle last much longer and thus further decrease the overall cost.
Finally, while the bone benefits of vitamin K2 are known to many people on the forum, some of its "niche" effects are not widely known. So, I compiled a (long) list of references broken down by categories for the people who are interested in finding out more about this amazing substance.

Note: This product contains raw material(s) meant for external use only, in cosmetic or other formulations designed for such external use.

*******************************************************************************
Kuinone is a dietary supplement containing vitamin K2 (MK-4) also known as menatetrenone. This product, while consisting entirely of food-grade ingredients, is sanctioned for external use only.

Servings per container: about 720
Serving size: 1 drop
Each serving contains the following ingredients:

Vitamin K2 (MK-4): 2 mg

Take it with fat but separately from Vitamin D to maximise absorption, take your D 4 hours apart just to be sure. Personally I do a few drops orally and a few drops topically just to make sure I've got the bases covered.

I think you should separate VIT K from VIT E and not from VIT D.
I think they work synergistically.

Two drops is fine, but I wouldn't hesitate to begin with five. Then again, I'm not aware of any you're trying it...In any case, it's hard to overdo MK4.

Will you be using this topically or orally? Just curious. As for me, to give a purely non-scientific account, it seems to thicken the blood (so to speak). What it's actually doing, I do not know. But, maybe a blood thinner will counter that. I've been doing 2 drops on the navel the last month, on and off, but just last week I noticed that effect I've mentioned, by way of hemorrhoid, or hemorrhoid-like symptoms. Normally I've only experienced that when taking it orally.

Yeah I plan on upping the dosage as I figure out how I feel while taking it. Just from reading the earlier parts of the forum, seems like this was a more bioavailable version so I didn’t want to overdue it as some of the people experienced anxiety, ikdolnis

I will be applying it to the navel for now. Georgi had mentioned that navel application could be beneficial for a more systemic effect. I also have aspirin that I plan on taking if the blood thickening becomes a problem.

My experience it messed with my sleep if I used it before bed.

I’ve seen from the forum that some people experienced insomnia and some people have experienced drowsiness and improved sleep. I ended up getting 9 hours last night - while it wasn’t uninterrupted, I’m pretty happy about that.

I’m looking forward to really experimented with this. Maybe some time I’ll try it in the morning and see how I feel.

Would you mind sharing your routine with this supp: dose, frequency, method of application, and any concurrent supps that help? I ask because it's hard for me to find long term success with this. I don't always feel bad on this, but I definitely can, especially with oral usage. Thanks.

Haidut mentioned fda says no shelf life of 12 months. I got my kunione in Jan 2021 and it says it expired in May 2021. It's June and im still using. I assume I'm good to go? Anyone used expired kunione? With haidut saying 12 months half life and it's been 6 that I'm okay just seeing if anyone else had an experience like this

Idealabs products last way longer than they say on The bottle . In using a 3 year old kuinone bottle and a 2 year old lisuride and they still work .

I dose 3 times a day because of K2's short half life, squeezing a couple of drops in my navel. That's it, I spend most of my free time playing music almost completely naked on the beach or reading literature. I think vitamin D and K are very complimentary. If I happen to eat a fatty meal with it, I'm happy. I don't obsess about it though. I've seen only positives from Kuinone. As I said, teeth and breathing capacity are biggest changes I've seen. Teeth just have that squeeky clean feeling as if I've just brushed them and it never fades. White as pearls. Probably the best idealabs product.

Would any liquid vitamin K product in the navel have the same effect?
Or is there something to Haidut's?

Thank you for the added detail. I thought I had read that the half-life of K2 is 3 days, but maybe it's 3 hours, which would make sense with your routine.
