I really liked this show with its grab bag of topics. And I feel like a bunch of forum members called in.

A selection of topics so this shows up in searches:
  • iodine (and nascent iodine)
  • estrogen and progesterone in aging
  • flamingos
  • digestive issues with oral vitamin E
  • reactions to iodine and thyroid supplementation
  • Buteyko breathing and slowed heart rate
  • restless leg syndrome
  • nitric oxide testing
  • hormones for a transgender person

Ah it wasn't so satisfactory.
He basically said that CO2 increases stroke volume of blood - so its pumping more with each beat, even though the heart rate is lower. Then he talked about giving thyroid to people who had resting heart rates of 150 and 130 and within two weeks they came down to under 100, and said they were running on stress hormones.

The question I wanted to know was if he thought it'd be good if you have an already low heart rate and buteyko / co2 retention decreased it further - if that was still a good thing?

Yes lol a fast beat has no inherent value for Ray Peat, but high CO2 does.
