My grandson (12) has low platelets. We are finding thyroid glandular keeps him fairly stable but are looking for other ideas to help him.

He's quite slim and tall. Not a huge appetite. Eats fruit, ice cream, mostly gluten free, homemade cooking with lots of veggies, clean meats and potatoes from my garden and drinks raw milk and eats cheese. Trying to avoid PUFA's. Has dry scaly , bumpy skin. Does very well in school and likes to be active. Has had some kind of nerve pain in his feet especially when he's got his feet cold and wet.
