This is how governments and the media, by using a simple parlor trick, have managed to get away with pushing vaccine efficacy without even needing to manipulate the data. As the saying goes, there are lies, damned lies, and statistics. By simply lagging deaths by a week, even a placebo vaccine would show massive efficacy.
