Is starch in popcorn and pancakes cooked well enough?

The way I think of it, "safe starches" are what one is capable of digesting in the small intestine with little if any of it making it to the large intestine. So this would vary from person to person in accord with how well their digestive system is working. So if you're able to eat those two items without any intestinal distress such as bloating and/or massive gas I'd say you're good to go. :2cents

Gluten is toxic to everyone. Most corn is genetically modified.

You can make pancakes with practically any flour you want, like rice or buckwheat or potato.The US corn is GMO, but ours in Europe is not. I think they never genetically modified the popcorn variety even in the US.

Many countries in Europe have experimental or regular gmo crops, and gmo-derived food products are regularly imported. Massively so when it comes to animal feeding.
