I found this table Botanical modulation of menopausal symptoms: Mechanisms of action? and it seems that rhubarb contains at least 3 different phytoestrogens. I am considering trying supplementing it because of its emodin content and its properties as a digestive stimulant, and thought it might be a cheaper alternative to cascara sagrada. But now not so sure after reading it contains phytoestrogens. Anyone has any knowledge about this?
