There is no need to become autistic about your environment. There are always viruses, bacteria, parasites, socialists, mold, prions, toxins, pollutants around.

I have 10 cats, no risk of any possible disease transmitted by cats can stop me from having fun with cats daily. They are like kids that never grow up.

I personally don't worry about it. I have a cat that wasn't vaccinated and I didn't suffer any side- effects as of yet.

Wow, 10 cats! Did you adopt/ buy them or did they just show up in your house over time?

They were six but recently one of them got pregnant and gave birth to 4 kittens. Rapariga.

Even if a male is so soiled from his mating adventures , he is always welcome to stay by me. The fear is in fecal transmission, but cats are so persnickety I don't worry about it. I just don't touch their anus.

“Although the seroprevalence in pet cats is lower than in strays, nearly 1 in 5 pet cats has been exposed to T. gondii and the number of pet cats is rapidly increasing in China, strongly associated with the rapid social change of the country [21].”

From: A systematic review and meta-analysis of the seroprevalence of Toxoplasma gondii in cats in mainland China

It’s not just T. gondii, there are also other zoonotic organisms that can spread from cats to their owners.

I don’t know the answer but their prrrs emit healing frequencies that may kill the parasite and heal other ailments

I had a cat years ago that developed symptoms for all the world like mad cow, and then died. I held my breath for 10 years, but nobody (human or animal) became similarly symptomatic. My cats currently are wussy purebreds that don't go out much, so I don't worry about them getting anything I wouldn't also be exposed to just by living in the same house (mice etc).

Maybe accept your proper subservience to the superior feline lifeforms.
This is not the “proper” way to address a forum member. @charlie @Blossom this is clearly against the forum rules. Do with it what you will.

Over my lifetime I'm pretty sure I've broken a good many of them too. I'm trying to clean up my act. :)

Thanks for this one. I hadn't seen it spelled out this clearly before, but I like the idea of doing one's best to understand what the other person means, and finding the sense in it. Also noting that there are several different formulations of the rule, and that the most useful one may depend on the purpose of a particular conversation. I think I usually try to find a way to read things in a way that can make sense/maximise agreement (though sometimes I dive in a bit hastily). I struggle when even after looking for it, I still can't find a coherent, rational interpretation of a statement. Also when there is fairly explicit nastiness being expressed.
