What do you think of freezing fruits to be able to eat them whole year?

I want to be able to eat peaches in the winter. Would it be healthy/unhealthy to buy them ripe and fresh now, chop them, put chopped parts in a freezer bag (or glass containers) and put those in a freezer?

If you know better or healthier ways to prepare frozen fruits, let me know.

Freezing is one of the best methods of food preservation. Very little nutrient loss and spoilage of the food. Obviously when you thaw it, the food will be soggy but at least you'll have peaches.

I don't know what else to say.

What makes me uneasy about the process is oxidation of the fruits from waiting in that humid area for so long. Maybe strong airtight bags would be a solution, but those bags are unhealthy petroleum products, with lots of other chemicals, they interact with the acidic fruit. Airtight glass containers would solve that issue, but they take a lot of space in the freezer.

My parents have an apple tree so every autumn I’ll stew big batches then freeze in zip lock bags that stack flat in the freezer. Gives a good fruit source for 4 or 5 months over winter. The bags can be washed and reused too.
